Straw color with a slight green tinge. This is a rich yet fresh wine with notes of lemon curd quince orange zest and sea breeze and an underlying waxy honey character. At first it hits the mouth with broad melon and fig flavors then comes back into focus with a long tropical fruit inflected finish. Shows moderate acidity and good persistence. Produced by Mouton-Rothschild. Enjoy 2015-2021.

This is a Bordeaux white from Mouton-Rothschild with the density and richness of a serious white Burgundy, but the sémillon in the blend gives it an exotic dried-fruit character, with plenty of pineapple and mango. Full and rich. Best ever from here. Decant now or hold for three or four years. 60% sauvignon blanc, 38% sémillon and 2% muscadelle. Drink or hold.

Very aromatic with lots of fresh white peach straw and verbena notes followed by a long quinine thread on the finish. Really minerally crunchy and mouthwatering in feel. Tasted non-blind.-J.M.

Captivating nose combines green papaya lemon coconut vanilla green fig gooseberry and white pepper. Densely packed and youthful but already showing a silky texture and considerable early appeal owing to its sexy sweetness of fruit. Vibrant citrussy zip provides considerable lift. The rising palate-dusting finish showcases subtle notes of smoke herbs and and flowers. A superb white wine from this estate. General manager Philippe Dhalluin told me that 20% of the wine underwent malolactic but it still has plenty of verve.
