Showing an elegant and feminine side (despite the warm vintage), the 2011 Barbaresco Coparossa is approachable and ready to drink in the near- and medium-term. The wine is shaped by soft lines of pressed flowers, anise seed, crushed mineral and white pepper corn. It shows delineated, dusty tannins but it also shows a great deal of energy and tonic freshness on the close. - Monica Larner

This is juicy and bright, with cherry, plum, anise and wild herb flavors. Features a vibrant core and broad, ripe tannins that envelop the finish. Accessible now, and should evolve quickly. Best from 2016 through 2024. 500 cases made. –BS
