From a southwest facing 0.8-hectare vineyard, the 2011 Macon-Bussiere Le Monsard is actually the smallest of Dominique’s cuvees. It has a precise, smoke-tinged bouquet with flinty notes emerging with time. The palate has a rounded, honey-tinged entry that segues into quite an intense, lime and citrus driven finish that lingers in the mouth. Very fine. - Neal Martin
