This is not offering everything up front but it is very focused and understated. The palate is medium-bodied with fine quite bold tannins. It is focused and very composed the dark broody fruit opening up to reveal a fine minerally finish. This is an excellent wine from Mon. Garde. Tasted April 2012.

The acidity is low for a 2011 but the wine's flesh and fat levels are appealing. Drink this well-made heady effort over the next 10-12 years.
