The 2011 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseigneres is a vintage I have not tasted for some time. Struck match on the nose gives away the producer, powerful and brilliantly defined; it beggers belief this is not a Premier Cru. The palate is fizzing with energy, although with time, perhaps it reveals just a tiny bit of TCA (there was disagreement in the room about this, and ultimately, I felt that it was not corked). Pleasing fatness on the finish, this is a lovely Puligny. Tasted at Robert's dinner in Beaune.
