A wonderful core of fruit in this wine with blueberry, dark-chocolate and cocoa character. Full body with chewy tannins and a long finish. Sexy. Better in 2018.

The dark fruit and licorice flavors are nicely supported by serious, building but rather silky tannins.

The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Cuvee State Lane Vineyard (1,800 cases produced from a blend of 66% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest the other Bordeaux varietals) is soft, round and charming. It comes across as a Pessac-Leognan style of wine with some earthiness, sweet currant fruit, roasted herbs and a round, juicy finish. Drink it over the next decade. - Robert M. Parker, Jr.

This dark purple gem is blessed with beautiful aromas of black and red fruit, anise and spice, complemented by roasted coffee beans and just a whisper of oak. The palate is medium bodied and offers a pleasure sensory overload with chocolate, cassis, plum, mixed with fresh flowers and acidity that lingers. Integrated tannins emerge and provide ample weight on the intriguing finish. Give this a good 45 minute decant and enjoy or wait another 5-6 years and enjoy the following 15+. This is better than just about any other 2011.
