From the cool climate Green Valley area, the medium ruby-hued 2011 Pinot Noir Dutton Ranch (all Dijon clones) possesses a potent 14.5% alcohol as well as raspberry and cherry fruit and dusty, loamy soil notes. It is one of the richest and fleshiest of these Pinot Noirs. With lots of character, it is an outstanding success for this vintage. I also enjoyed its long, velvety finish.
