Proprietor Philippe Porcheron, with advice from Murielle Andraud and Jean-Luc Thunevin, has produced the first garage wine of the Margaux appellation, Marojallia, which has been a consistent winner, largely due to the winemaking team’s impeccable attention to detail. The 2011’s healthy opaque ruby/purple color is followed by a stunning nose of blueberries, black raspberries, graphite and spring flowers. This sensationally concentrated 2011 clearly transcends the overall vintage character. A major sleeper of the vintage, it is a full-bodied, rich effort with light to moderate tannin as well as stunning concentration of fruit. It is a terrific success, particularly in a vintage such as 2011. Bravo! Drink now-2025. - Robert M. Parker, Jr.

Open nose of ripe raspberry red plum and cherry liqueur with subtle espresso aromas. Enters the palate with lively acidity and fresh red fruit flavors underpinned by a tannic backbone and a finish laden with notes of blackberry and anise. Nice balance and structure. This should drink well through 2025.
