It’s subtly fruity with hints of citrus zest and grapefruit. The main note, however, is gooseberry—barely ripe, acidic, mouthwatering and white peppery. The finish is absolutely dry. It should develop earthy, dried fruit notes over the next six years.

Pale bright yellow. Initially exuberant aromas of pineapple and coconut dissipated with aeration to reveal more subtle, varietally typical notes of peach skin, lemon grass, mint and crushed shiso. Initially exuberant aromas of pineapple and coconut dissipated with aeration to reveal more subtle, varietally typical notes of peach skin, lemon grass, mint and crushed shiso. Supple and firmly built, with a bracing lemony character to the mirabelle and white peach flavors. A note of vanillin oak adds interest without getting in the way of the wine's lovely fruit. Finishes with a lingering peach skin character.
