The 2012 Gigondas le Lieu Dit was brought up all in older demi-muids, and like always, comes from a single parcel of Grenache vines planted in the sandy soils next to the estate. Full-bodied, elegant, seamless and about as silky as they come, with a Pinot Noir-like texture and elegance, it offers lots of black raspberry, black cherry, flowers and forest floor aromas and flavors. The tannin quality first rate, it has no hard edges and a gorgeous finish. Drink it anytime over the coming decade. - Jeb Dunnuck
