(WA88-90 points) The 2012 Vosne-Romanee Village also comes from several parcels around the village. The nose is well defined with lively red berry fruit leaping from the glass like yapping puppies. The palate is medium-bodied with orange rind lining the entry. Chalky tannins here, quite compact towards the finish, but this village cru is fresh and tense and will probably represent a more wallet-friendly option to Grivot’s 2012s. - Neal Martin
