A complex, multi-dimensional, old-vine (1875 plantings), single-vineyard Greenock shiraz that has a lot to offer. A young wine with very rich fruit that has an innate sense of balance to it. Very smooth, even and tarry. The oak has a gently smoky, sweet-spiced influence and the fruit is ripe and bright. Smells of blackberries, cassis, mulberries and dark-chocolate-coated citrus. The palate has assertive drive and punch, the tannins shine glossily – delivering sheet-like layering – and dark-fruit flavors saturate every corner of the palate. They've got every ounce of flavor out of this wine. Drink in 2020.
