This brand is winemaker Heidi Peterson Barrett’s ode to Rhône, as well as a place for her own Bordeaux-varietal wines. The first vintage of this 100% varietal wine on its own, it’s soft and supple with a tannic backbone. Pretty plum aromas and a streak of peppery spice and leather are joined on the palate by juicy blueberry and finished off in restrained oak.

The nose is all about red fruits and fresh cut flowers - raspberries, boysenberries and cranberries meld with crushed rose petals. The fruit is consistent on the palate with the addition of red currants. It is silky on entry, while bright acidity and integrated tannins keep this compact and precisely focused. Good balance and energy with a slightly earthy, loamy finish. Drink now and over the next 5-7 years.
