Another brilliant effort is the 2012 Chardonnay Wildcat Mountain Vineyard, from a windblown, cold, forbidding ridge line facing the Pacific Ocean. There is a green hint to the wine’s color, and it reveals notes of white flowers, quince, oranges and lemon butter. Medium to full-bodied with great acid as well as a gentle influence of oak, it can be consumed over the next 4-5 years. - Robert M. Parker, Jr.
