Black as night from the core straight to the rim. Aromas of black and purple fruit mix with notes of espresso, saddle leather and just a touch of mint on bold and expressive nose. Dense and grippy on the palate, the tannins are still firm and prominent but should integrate with some time in the bottle. With just enough acidity to keep the wine focused through a long finish, this an excellent example of top-flight Napa Cabernet from a great vintage. Made from the younger vines of Harlan Estate, BOND and Promontory, this wine clearly shows its pedigree. Beautiful now, but will be even better in 2-4 years, and for 15-20 thereafter.
