Given my 16-month tasting cycle, I sometimes get two vintages of the same wine to taste, and that was the case this time with the 2012 Iscay Malbec Cabernet Franc. 2012 was warmer than 2013, and the blend was still Malbec from Los Árboles and Cabernet Franc from Cruz de Piedra in Maipú. It's a serious, earthy and ripe blend, riper than the 2013 I tasted next to it. It keeps good freshness, the tannins are elegant and the wine is balanced. Quite impressive. 19,000 bottles were filled in December 2014.- LG
