Starting with the classic cuvée, the 2013 Gigondas comes from a variety of terroir and is made from 60% Grenache and 20% each of Syrah and Mourvedre. Vinified with 100% whole clusters and aged twelve months in older smaller barrels and concrete tanks, it offers classic Saint Cosme notes of black currants, mulberries, licorice and peppery spice in a medium-bodied, moderately concentrated, yet beautifully balanced style the palate. It’s ideal for drinking anytime over the coming 5-7 7 years. - Jeb Dunnuck
