There is notably better freshness as well as better aromatic complexity to the red and dark cherry aromas that display attractive notes of spice and exotic tea. The punchy and intensely mineral-driven medium weight flavors possess equally good depth and excellent length though this will definitely need time in bottle to flesh out. Worth considering. 2021+

91+ Healthy dark red. Very primary nose hints at black cherry, menthol and bitter chocolate lifted by a floral topnote. Then sappy and saline on the palate, showing very good chewy concentration and medicinal reserve... 91+ Healthy dark red. Very primary nose hints at black cherry, menthol and bitter chocolate lifted by a floral topnote. Then sappy and saline on the palate, showing very good chewy concentration and medicinal reserve. Quite reticent today but displays a terrific balance between sweetness and firm minerality. Bitouzet wishes he made big bottles of this juice.

Crimson red throughout. The '13 Taillepeids shows off an array of red fruit mixed with notes of black pepper, fresh flowers and green strawberries, before revealing an earthy component that lingers through to the palate. This medium to full bodied offering establishes a very round texture with tart acidity and tannins that will require 5 years to be tamed. The mid palate is focused and defined with rich fruit and playful spices that hold on through the finish. This will need 5-7 years to really come into form, then deliver prime drinking opportunities over the following decade.
