(WA88-90 points) The 2013 Puligny-Montrachet has a clean and crisp, quite stony and perhaps reserved bouquet compared to the 2012 last year. The palate is crisp and taut, already demonstrating impressive weight in the mouth, leading to a well-defined finish with a hint of fish oil, something almost “Thai” on the finish. Very fine and there's personality here. - Neal Martin

The 2013 Puligny AC from Domaine Sauzet is also a very strong villages in this vintage, jumping from the glass in a vibrant mélange of white peach, apple, spring flowers, chalky soil tones and a discreet base of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, crisp and quite youthful in profile, with good mid-palate concentration, lovely cut and grip and a long, snappy and nicely reserved finish. This will need a year or two to really blossom, but it too will be an excellent bottle of village wine. 2016-2035.
