Domaine William Fèvre’s 2013 les Clos is another stellar success for the vintage, with a quite complex and fairly open bouquet coupled to a far more reserved and racy palate. The superb nose delivers an aromatic constellation of apple, pear, kaleidoscopic minerality, citrus peel, straw and nice smokiness in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and still quite closed, with outstanding mid-palate intensity, excellent focus and grip, fine balance and a long, racy and still fairly monolithic finish. This behaves on the palate far more like a classic example of les Clos than a grand cru from the 2013 vintage! (Drink between 2018-2035)
