Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, April 2015

This vintage really embodies the message and style that this great Campania Merlot aims to achieve. It stays true to the fruit and the wild/untamed personality of the territory that shaped it. The 2013 Pàtrimo is one of...

jamessuckling.com, November 2016

(93 points) A firm and silky red with berries, chocolate and hints of spices. Full to medium body, caressing tannins and a bright finish. Very polished and pretty now. Give it a few years to soften. Better in 2019.

jebdunnuck.com, March 2018

(92 points) The 2013 Patrimo is 100% Merlot that spent 18 months in French oak, with close to a year in bottle before release. It offers a ripe, chocolatey, sexy style with loads of currants, truffle, toasty oak, and...

Wine Enthusiast, February 2018

Wine Spectator, January 2017

(91 points) An elegant, medium- to full-bodied red, with fine integration of the sculpted tannins, a deep note of tarry mineral, and flavors of pureed black cherry, star anise, dried marjoram and fragrant leather...

Feudi di San Gregorio is the work of two Irpinian families, Capaldo and Ercolino, who founded the estate in 1986. It lies in the tiny village of Sorbo Serpico in the province of Avellino and is renowned for its focus on innovation, commitment to quality, and dedication to the restoration of historic grapes that reflect the heritage of local viticulture.

The estate offers a wide range of red, white, and sparkling wines. The fruit of their first vintage was made into Nobellum, followed by Fiano de Avellino and Greco di Tulfo in 1992. After two years, they added Taurasi made with Aglianico grapes to immediate success both in the marketplace and with critics.

What makes their wines unique are their extraordinary vineyards and the richness of their terroir: calcareous and volcanic soils create the ideal conditions for viticulture.

From a beginning of about 30 hectares, the estate now has over 300 hectares today. The original vineyards in the zone of Sorbo Serpico are joined by the vineyards of Tufo, Taurasi and Santa Paolina, perched on hills ranging from 1,150 to 2,300 feet. Soils include both calcareous and volcanic.
