Among the richer of the new Loring
bottlings
and one that very
much hews to the riper, slightly juicy, cherry-like fruit that its site
predicts, this very well-focused Pinot is full, fleshy and generous
without going too far. It hints at velvet on entry and follows with
a good sense of structure, and its complete, nicely filled flavors
exhibit fine layering and length. Its outgoing nature may invite
early drinking, but, as a wait for three or four years will prove,
there is better to come.
