The 2013 Felseneck Spätlese Gold Capsule starts with a fascinating ripe and aromatic bouquet of lime and lemon perfume spiced with crushed slate and some herbal aromas. This rich and enormously juicy and piquant Spätlese is very noble and well balanced on the palate, richer and sweeter than the regular Felseneck and shows a finish combining intensity with piquancy and complexity. The finish is very long and multi-layered and indicates a wine that should be drunk not earlier than 2020/22 but can be kept for 20 years easily. - Stephan Reinhardt
