The 2014 Bel Canto is also showing very well indeed with a few years of bottle age, opening in the decanter and glass with notes of cassis, cigar wrapper, loamy soil, pencil shavings and black truffle. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and deep, with beautifully suave structuring tannins and a deep core of concentrated fruit. The finish is long, complex and finely delineated. While this elegant, Bordelais-styled blend is already drinking well, I suspect it still has two decades of life and evolution ahead of it. - William Kelley

This has rich blueberries, cassis and cloves with hints of star anise in the background. Vibrant fruit that are nicely captured, too. The palate has an impressive sense of richness and depth. Bold cassis, blueberries and chalky tannins. A great structure. A blend of 50% cabernet franc, 38% merlot and 12% petit verdot. Drink or hold. - Nick Stock

Cellar Selection. Cabernet Franc makes up half of this wine, with the balance in Merlot (38%) and Petit Verdot (12%). It delivers light currant, herb, flower and dark fruit aromas. The palate is saturated with dark fruit flavors while firm, structured tannins provide support. It needs some time in the cellar to settle. Best after 2022.
