Checking in as a blend of 40% Mourvedre, 35% Syrah and the balance Grenache, the 2014 Parvata (this is a Sanskrit word meaning rocks and stones) dishes up awesome notes of blueberries, liquid violets, barbecued meats and peppery spice to go with a full-bodied and rich yet still tight and focused style on the palate. This is a beautiful, incredibly pure GSM blend from winemaker Todd Alexander that will benefit from a year or two in bottle and keep for a decade.
