(BH90-93 points) Here there is no reductive funk and instead the pure, fresh and airy array displays notes of acacia blossom, citrus, spice, wet stone and a subtle application of wood. There is a highly refined mouth feel to the rather round and rich medium-bodied flavors that are surprisingly forward on the slightly awkward finale that displays a hint of bitter lemon. My sense is that this will very likely tighten up before it's bottled and will require time to harmonize and as such my predicted range offers the benefit of the doubt.

(WA90-92 points) The 2014 Meursault 1er Cru les Perrières is more reserved than the 2014 Genevrières on the nose, but there is more mineral, stony scents infiltrating the citrus fruit and the focus here is very impressive. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity, touches of smoked walnut and smoke, although I would like to see more stoniness, more rockiness come through on the finish to express this great vineyard. Still a capable Meursault, though it would be the 2014 Genevrières on my own shopping list. - Neal Martin
