The 2014 vintage is really exceptional for the Clos de la Pucelle. The stunning nose offers up a youthfully complex blend of pear, white peach, a touch of orange zest, fresh almond, incipient pastry cream, chalky minerality and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and utterly classic in profile, with a superb core, a lovely girdle of acidity, great focus and grip and a very long, very pure and racy finish. This is still a puppy and should be tucked away for a handful of years in the cellar to really let it blossom completely. Great juice! (Drink between 2021-2050)
