(BH91-93 points) Generous wood and menthol notes detract mildly from the otherwise attractively fresh and complex nose of cassis, violet, earth and overt sauvage characters. There is good muscle and vibrancy to the beautifully textured, intense and mineral-driven flavors that are also very serious and mildly rustic on the driving, balanced and hugely long finale. Again, this beauty is built-to-age and will need plenty of it.

(WA91-93 points) The 2014 Gevrey Chambertin les Cazetiers 1er Cru has a very precise bouquet, blackberry and blueberry fruit that unfurls with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple ripe black cherry and citrus fruit, vibrant and energetic with a touch of white pepper enlivening the finish. This is another very fine red from Remoissenet, indeed, another excellent 2014 Cazetiers. - Neal Martin
