Medium to deep garnet in color, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Louer Family delivers evolving scents of plum pudding, spice cake, incense and cigar box over a core of blackberry pie, baked blackcurrants and molten licorice... Medium to deep garnet in color, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Louer Family delivers evolving scents of plum pudding, spice cake, incense and cigar box over a core of blackberry pie, baked blackcurrants and molten licorice with wafts of chargrill and wood smoke. Full-bodied, rich, spicy and decadently fruited, the palate reveals wonderfully plush tannins and a great line of freshness, finishing long and layered. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

Winery

Roberts + Rogers

In 1999, longtime friends Roger Louer and Robert Young began making wine together from Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain.

In 2009, Roger Louer produced a Louer Family Reserve Cabernet from his personal estate in St. Helena for a select group of friends. That wine was sourced from the best barrels of the 34 acre estate and has sold out before it was produced for the past three years. Roberts + Rogers released the 2012 vintage under the R+R label.
