Firmly structured and piquant, this is a full-bodied, intense and rich Riesling with more power and length than the Herrenberg Alte Reben. It is complex and round, and reveals a long, persistent finis,h but needs at least another 10-15 years to celebrate its talents. Impressive wine, though more GG style than what we love MG for: lightness and finesse. - Stephan Reinhardt collapse

It’s zesty and tangy, with a green- apple crunch to the limey fruit; the acidity makes the mouth water. Right now, the chalky minerality gives the wine a sense of size and density that’s not yet filled in with details; that ought to come with another five or six years in the cellar. collapse
