As with Petit Mouton, this is a white Bordeaux where you feel site-specific, with a clear house style. Fleshy white peaches, white pepper and rich citrus are backed by great structure. The Sauvignons are a blend of blanc and gris, and together with the Semillon give clear longevity potential. A lovely touch of salinity on the finish really makes your mouth water. 7% malo on the fruit in this year, as they didn't want to lose the minerality in the wine. 45% new oak. Blended of 55% Sauvignon Blanc, 43% Sémillon and 2% Muscadelle, the 2015 Aile d’Argent charges forth from the glass with gregarious ripe peach, pink grapefruit and orange blossom notes plus touches of beeswax, fresh hay, acacia honey, baking bread and allspice.
