(90-93) This too is sufficiently reduced to mask the nuances of what appears to be ripe fruit. There is excellent verve to the big-bodied and well-concentrated flavors that coat the palate with sap on the firmer and more complex finale. This won't win any awards for elegance but there is so much development potential that I find this quite impressive overall.

Expressive aromas of orchard fruits, flowers and minerals. Lovely spicy, vibrant wine; not hugely fleshy but boasts excellent energy, lift and definition and complicating notes of mint and white pepper. This lovely spicy, soil-driven wine boasts terrific energy and rising length, and full ripeness for a classically dry wine. Despite its early balance, it calls for cellaring. Jobard has three parcels of different ages in Poruzots, with an average age of 35 years.

(89-91) The 2015 Meursault 1er Cru Les Poruzots showed some reduction on the nose, but underneath lies a well-defined, citrus-driven aromatic profile with really fine mineral expression in context of what was a warm growing season. The palate is very well balanced with crisp acidity, touches of tangerine and quince lining the focused and detailed finish, although it does not quite deliver the mineralité of the Meursault-Blagny. -Neal Martin
