On the palate, it's medium-bodied, pure and layered, with good concentration, ripe tannins and excellent depth and length, with a seamless profile. It's a blend of 33% Cabernet Franc, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 17% Petit Verdot. - WK collapse

Sweeter than the Ciel du Cheval, and a bit more pliant and forward. If the Ciel is characterized by blueberry, this wine shows more cassis, boysenberry and cocoa powder. A bit sweeter in the middle palate than the Ciel du Cheval but also horizontal and substantial. Finishes classically dry and quite long, with serious broad tannins and a taste of bitter chocolate. This is actually a bit less clenched than the Ciel du Cheval, which is atypical. (14.4% alcohol) -- Stephen Tanzer collapse

It's clean, impeccably balanced, and already drinking nicely. It's going to keep for a decade or more. collapse
