The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is in great shape today. Deep, pliant and super expressive, the 2015 is just starting to open. A blast of dark cherry fruit, mocha, licorice and espresso makes a strong opening statement. Still very young, the 2015 will drink well for another decade or more. It's one of the most youthful, vibrant wines of the year. I underestimated this wine and its potential longevity in my original review. -- Antonio Galloni

(WA 94-96 points) Inky purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate leaps from the glass with youthful, exuberant red and black currants notes over scents of garrigue, cedar, violets, rose hip, iron ore, dusty earth and underbrush. Medium to full-bodied, finely constructed and with bags of finesse, it sports a solid line of very fine-grained tannins and impressive earth-inspired layers, finishing with great persistence. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

A deep, complex nose of blackberry, turned earth, walnut oil and dried thyme. Supple and round on the palate, with less austerity than in other recent vintages. Shows the classic red-fruited, chewy tannins of Eastern Oakville in a more accessible package, making it the most drinkable of the young Dalla Valle Cabernets.

This is dark and structured, with a strong graphite spine and a robust loamy edge, while steeped currant and blackberry paste flavors form the core. Lots of tobacco, grilled savory and roasted cedar notes flow throughout. This displays heft for now, but with a well of fruit in reserve for the longer haul. Tasted twice with consistent notes. Best from 2020 through 2034. — J.M.
