(90-92) The 2015 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru les Pucelles showed a notch more precocity than the Les Referts from barrel, clean and pure, the oak nicely integrated and complementing the subtle tropical tones. The palate is taut on the entry with a pinch of spice, a keen line of acidity and fine focus, building in weight towards the lightly honeyed finish. This is very fine, but I would afford it a couple of years once in bottle.

Once again there is a curious mint tea character to the more typical aromas of honeysuckle and spiced pear. There is a more sophisticated mouth feel to the lilting and refined middle weight flavors that possess a borderline creamy mouth feel before culminating in a clean and dry if only moderately complex finish. This appears to have the underlying material such that more depth should develop and my rating offers the benefit of the doubt in this regard.
