This steps into an elite league of Pomerol class and concentration, whilst still exuding freshness and transparency. It is a great vintage for Latour à Pomerol. Smells of pristine lightly spiced blueberries and plums and leads to intense flavors of red plums and red cherries cloaked in perfectly integrated spicy oak. Long, regal tannins that are seamless. This is clearly the best Latour à Pomerol for over 30 years. Try from 2023.

The tannins and richness that are a part of this vintage in Pomerol are very present in this wine. It is dense, packed with dry, firm tannins. At the same time, the fruit is rich with berries and black currants, showing the potential balance of this concentrated wine. Drink from 2026.

The 2015 Latour à Pomerol has an open-knit bouquet with dark berry fruit, cola, leather and light undergrowth scents. It's perhaps a little more advanced than I was expecting but still pleasurable. The palate is medium-bodied and fresher than the aromatics suggest, with fine-boned tannins. Silky smooth in texture, savory red fruit hints are interlaced with cumin and gamey notes.
