More fresh and crisp, with a beautiful lemon curd, white flowers, and hints of hazelnut, the 2015 Chardonnay Sierra Mar Vineyard is beautifully balanced, elegant and clean on the palate, with a great finish. Coming from gravelly, loamy soils in the Santa Lucia Highlands and aged 11 months in French oak, it’s terrific today yet will evolve gracefully for at least 4-5 years, and I suspect even longer.

The 2015 Chardonnay Sierra Mar has a tropical nose of pineapple and passion fruit with touches of brioche, butterscotch and cedar plus a waft of orange blossom. Medium to full-bodied, rich, opulent and concentrated, the palate is lifted by a wonderful backbone of freshness, and it finishes with lingering tropical notes.
