Tenuta Sette Ponti sits in the land of Sangiovese and Chianti, not far from the historic town of Arezzo. The estate received its name from Antonio F. Moretti, who wanted to pay homage to the so-called Road Sette Ponti (Seven Bridges), which connects the banks of the River Arno between Florence and Arezzo.

Tenuta Sette Ponti holds 330 hectares of land, of which more than 50 are planted with vineyards—tended entirely without mechanization. Included are Sangiovese, but also some great "internationals", such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and a small selection of other varieties. The soil composition has a heterogeneous structure, well combined between clay, sand, limestone, and typical Chianti stone Galestro.

The grapes undergo a “one by one” manual selection when they arrive in the cellars. An open vat fermentation is preferred along with a gentle pressing to get the best aroma from the grapes without bitterness or excessive drying.

Ladies and gentlemen, brace yourselves for a wine that is set to tantalize your taste buds and transport you to the sun-soaked vineyards of Tuscany. I present to you the exquisite 2015 Sette Ponti Oreno Proprietary Red Wine, a true masterpiece in the world of fine wines.

This stunning red wine, hailing from the renowned region of Tuscany in Italy, is a harmonious blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. The result is a wine that is rich, complex, and undeniably elegant. From the moment the cork is removed and the first pour is made, the seductive aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark chocolate fill the air, enticing you to take a sip.

On the palate, the Oreno reveals its true character. The wine is full-bodied, with a structure that is tight and refined. Flavors of blueberry, light vanilla, and coffee dance on the tongue, while subtle undertones of oyster shell and walnut add a touch of intrigue. The tannins are present, yet perfectly integrated, providing a velvety texture that lingers long after each sip.

Renowned wine critic James Suckling awarded this beauty a staggering 98 points, praising its depth and complexity. He suggests giving the wine a few more years to fully come together, promising an even more enchanting experience.

Wine Spectator, another esteemed publication, awarded the 2015 Oreno a highly respectable score of 94 points. They describe it as rich and dense, yet balanced and elegant. The flavors of black cherry, black currant, and minerals take center stage, while a fresh and balanced finish leaves you craving another sip.

The praise doesn't stop there. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate also acknowledges the brilliance of this wine, awarding it 93 points. They highlight its rich color saturation and thick lines, along with its black fruit flavors, spice, and tobacco undertones. The wine's dense mouthfeel and powerful tannins indicate that a few more years of cellaring will reward the patient drinker.

This 2015 Sette Ponti Oreno Proprietary Red Wine is a true testament to the artistry and dedication of the winemakers at Sette Ponti. It is a wine that demands to be savored, appreciated, and shared with those who truly understand the beauty of a fine Italian red. So, my dear wine enthusiasts, I implore you to indulge in this exquisite creation and let it transport you to the heart of Tuscany with every sip. Cheers!
