Medium-to full-bodied and beautifully pure and inviting, this is a dialed-in Brunello with sweeping acidity and finely chiseled tannins. Drink from 2021. collapse

This sees 50% new barriques for the first year, before being transferred into large Slavonian oak casks for an additional two years. It is decidedly cedary and balsamic with rosemary, oregano and mint. Tannins are assertive and a tad rustic but there is enough tangy fruit padding out the core. collapse

Flinty and blue fruit dominated initially, then develops greater presence of red fruit flavors, with violet and black cherry flavors rising on the long coffee-accented and oaky finish. Currently a little astringent, make sure to decant well ahead and to cellar accordingly. -- Ian D'Agata collapse
