The light ruby colored 2015 Pinot Noir Boekenoogen Vineyard (from clones 113 and 115) was barrel fermented with around 20% stems and spent 10 months in 50% new French oak. It shows the stems on the nose and offers a perfumed, red-fruited profile with lots of cranberries, forest floor, pomegranate and spice-laced aromatics. It's beautiful on the palate and is lightly textured and graceful, with a silky texture. Everything here is beautifully balanced, it has integrated acidity, fine tannin, and a great finish, and while it doesn't hit you over the head with power or richness, it grows on you with time in the glass. Drink this gorgeous Pinot Noir anytime over the coming decade or more.
