The nose wafts from the glass in a bright and classic blend of dark berries, black cherries, gamebird, dark soil tones and plenty of early smokiness in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and nicely suave on the attack, with a good core, fine-grained tannins and very good length and grip on the focused finish. Good juice.
