This was one of the few examples I tasted from Saint Romain on my trip, and the parcels behind this cuvée were frosted in the spring of 2016. The wine has turned out very well despite this, offering up a fine nose of tart orange, apple, wet stone minerality, a touch of straw and a topnote of citrus peel. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, crisp and zesty, with good focus and grip and a long, well-balanced finish. A very good value.
