Hints of hay or alfalfa mark the nose, along with huge raspberry and blueberry fruit. It's full-bodied, rich and tannic on the palate, picking up hints of chocolate and raisin on the long finish. I wouldn't suggest cellaring it too long, in case the dried-fruit notes come too much to the fore. - Joe Czerwinski

Floral white pepper notes announce the juicy core of black tea, plum and tangy cherry flavors, with toasty shadings of spice and cedar that linger on the finish. Shows plenty of harmony and detail against velvety tannins... Aromas of cassis, blackberry and plum mix with touches of wild herbs, black pepper and dark chocolate. Soft and luscious on the palate, there is a surprising amount of lift, with hints of mint and cedar nicely complimenting the dark fruit. Long, ripe and forward, this is a wine built for immediate pleasure. It should drink well for another 10-15 years, but why wait?
