The 2017 Rosenmuskateller Trockenbeerenauslese No 7 Nouvelle Vague opens with a fascinating, clear, complex and spicy bouquet of red berries and rose petals intertwined with toasty/oaky and flinty aromas as well as fresh gray bread and shiitake notes. Piquant and fresh on the palate, this is an intense, straight, fresh and salty-mineral TBA with fine tannin and a long, intense and delicate finish. Very long and sweet but also tight and mineral, this is an impressive food wine. Bottled with 12% alcohol and 254 grams per liter of residual sugar. This is the best Rosenmuskateller I have tasted so far from Kracher. Tasted in March 2020.- SR
