This is a seriously impressive Musigny though one that is clearly meant for extended keeping.

The 2017 Musigny Grand Cru presents a profound nose of brilliant delineation and focus, delivering pure brambly red fruit and simmering underlying mineralité; wilted rose petal scents surface after 10 minutes in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with lithe tannins, very harmonious and silky-smooth. This is not the most powerful or persistent Musigny you will ever taste, but it is undeniably pretty.
