The wine comes in at 13.9 percent octane and wafts from the glass in an utterly refined aromatic constellation of apple, pear, lemon, chalky soil tones, fresh almond, beeswax, spring flowers and a discreet touch of new oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, focused and very elegant in profile, with a fine core, lovely soil signature, zesty acids and a long, beautifully balanced and complex finish. This is classy juice.

The light to medium-bodied palate is silky and delicate with mouthwatering acidity and a long, lively finish. This restrained, elegant Chardonnay will benefit from another year in bottle.

Racier even than many of the Drouhin offerings from Burgundy, this opens with bright, pure citrus fruit. The complexity develops with time, as the limited cask maturation (10 months, 15% new) reveals itself. Fermented half in cask half in tank, the texture is silky, lithe and crisp, but there is still enough substance to satisfy. (Drink between 2020-2030)

Offers elegant complexity, with a silky texture, plus floral, pear, lemon and blanched almond accents that glide toward a vibrant finish. Drink now through 2020.
