La Bussière is one of the more interesting climats in Chambolle, as it lies right on the Morey border and the premier cru of Clos de la Bussière is right across the boundary. For those interested, this is also the climat where Domaine Dujac’s own Chambolle AC bottling comes from. Laurent Lignier’s 2017 version included twenty percent whole clusters this year and is really a lovely, precise and elegantly sappy wine, offering up a fine nose of red and black cherries, gamebird, lovely minerality, raw cocoa, mustard seed and a whisper of spicy oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, refined and quite sappy at the core, with excellent transparency, suave tannins and fine length and grip on the nascently complex finish. This is an excellent villages in the making.
