Halliday Wine Companion, March 2021

Wow. Silky smooth aromas of red berries, grey minerality (granite, graphite, etc) and breaths of oceans air whispered about. The palate is exactly as the nose promises, elegant and refined. Length of flavour is where this...

Decanter, November 2021

From a cool year, this is perfumed and intense. With buoyant acidity, the silky, cedar-edged cassis, mulberry, blueberry and red cherry fruit gathers impetus through the palate. Notes of sage, anise, bitter chocolate...

jamessuckling.com, October 2021

This classically powerful and structured cabernet offers ripe cassis and blackberries, as well as blueberries and leafy, herbal nuances. The palate is built on compressed, fine tannins that carry plenty of deep blueberry...

Wine Enthusiast, July 2022

It's unsurprising, given the comparatively cool vintage and Leeuwin's location in Margaret River's chillier southern end, that there's a cool edge to this wine. The fresh currant and black-cherry fruit is etched in savory...

Wine Spectator, August 2021

Aromatic and extremely complex, a big wine with many nuances. Green olive, cedar, blueberry and wild blackberry flavors are at the core of this dense, succulent red, with velvety, polished tannins. Complexity only gains...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, July 2023

The 2017 vintage has been responsible for a wide variation in quality in Cabernet Sauvignons across the region. Here, the 2017 Art Series Cabernet Sauvignon is more minty and structural than the glossy 2016 that preceded...

Leeuwin Estate is a family-owned Australian winery and one of the five founding wineries in the now famous Margaret River district of Western Australia. Formerly a cattle ranch, the property was converted to vineyards by Denis and Tricia Horgan upon the advice of legendary Napa Valley winemaker Robert Mondavi when he visited Australia and saw the estate’s potential as being ideal for the production of premium wines.

The estate enjoyed its first commercial vintage in 1979 and was quickly thrust into the international spotlight when Decanter Magazine gave its highest recommendation to the 1980 "Art Series" Chardonnay. Leeuwin now exports to 30 markets. The estate releases wines under the Art Series, Prelude Vineyards and Siblings labels.

Celebrating the combination of fine wine, food, art and music, Leeuwin features an award winning restaurant, cellar door and art gallery. The estate is renowned for staging spectacular events and welcoming visitors from around the world.
