Narbantons, with its northeasterly exposition, was probably one of the more favored vineyards in the village in 2018, and the Camus-Bruchon version is stellar. The great nose wafts from the glass in a classic blend of cherries, a touch of fruitcake, red plums, gorgeous spice tones, gamebird, bonfire, dark soil tones and cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and rock solid at the core, with ripe, buried tannins, excellent balance and grip and a very long, soil-driven and promising finish. Fine juice.
