Limpid violet. Expansive, spice-tinged red and dark berry aromas are complemented by suggestions of pungent flowers, vanilla and a hint of smokiness. Appealingly sweet and broad in the mouth, offering sappy blueberry, cherry cola and candied rose flavors braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Lush aromas of blueberry and blackberry fruit open this wine, coating the palate with extra nuances of almond butter. The lovely fruit flavors persist, but the wine takes a deeper dive with textured flavors that add chocolate and nougat and more.
